How Hard Is Swelling Treating Horse Leg Swelling ?

Treating Horse Leg Swelling ? - how hard is swelling

Hind leg is less swollen, my mare for a few weeks. It's hot, and the swelling is hard, especially outside than inside. It does not appear to be lame and do not respond to pressure. Perhaps connect the fence? Any tips on how or if I treat it?

It is a horse, I bet you connect. You want to use some teaching methods that can not do, even if placed kick it kicks.

Putz Have you tried? If you are not sure how to wrap, go to the local tack shop and for their best compress (in South Africa to ask, I'm not sure what, where are you - my fav is Uptite or Icetight) then thick on the swelling, put a little more wet newspaper (circle as you would a padded headband), wrap in plastic insert page, a filling and then wrap Apply dressing. The journal helps moisture from wet wraps, work longer and plastic (or Clingwrap) has a sauna effect and help the swelling. This might help. Remove the flexible leg cast for about 20 minutes.
Is that all swollen leg? How swollen? Or simply as a break? Maybe he throws a rail? Could be many things.
If the skin odD, as strike-breakers? This could be an infection of the skin. In front of the envelope can be cleaned the area with antibacterial soap, then wet plaster. Be sure to remove all traces of the first soap.
If you are unsure, and are very concerned and have tried everything, it would be best to consult a veterinarian. Sometimes it's better in the long run.
Any chance that there are some pictures there? This May Help

Well, if in doubt, call the vet and ask for advice too! I had a similar problem. It has about 2 weeks but then remained normal after I have this routine (from the vet prescribed returns) and wrapped sinapisées see me when she was killed. Come on, do not contain much that once or twice and make sure u wrap the two legs, so it is not just one! if it does not seem he was lame walk without pain or fear. the pipe and cold all night for 15 Mo and cold pipe after work for 15 minutes and also if you want, you can look for a pipe is a liniment Vetrolin considered too cold. I have neither the Bute or nothing, because it is an accumulation of fluid inflammation, but as I said call your veterinarian pipe and cold! Good luck

For the first time - in the original location of the swelling of its very important to act immediately. IAM the hope that this horse has not ignited, their own devices for two weeks to leave ....

Second, I suggest a cold hose for 20-25 minutes 3 times a day and see if it helps to bring swelling down - at the height of the clear identification of the two hind legs with a pillow and a cloak only to maintain a uniform pressure. Id do it for 3-5 days and then nothing Id call my vet. It could have become infected, or possibly something more serious? I hope not, and do not look like, but surely is certainly true? It's hard to believe that it Absolutley no heat at all .. Although swelling is usually always a degree of warmth.

Good luck, I hope that everything goes well!

In any case, leads him on a horse breeder or veterinarian. It does not seem serious, but you can never be too safe. I have a horse named fire and his leg was swollen from a time when I ride. I took him to the vet and is fixed as I know! I was so happy, I thought it was too low and should be shelved! I have 3 years! ^ _ ^

Check vet the next time they go out and water daily for the legs to help the swelling.
